Hemorroidectomy

A hemorrhoidectomy is surgery to remove internal or external hemorrhoids that are extensive or severe. Surgical hemorrhoidectomy is the most effective treatment for hemorrhoids, though it is associated with the greatest rate of complications.

Rubber Band Ligation for Piles

Rubber band ligation is a procedure in which the hemorrhoid is tied off at its base with rubber bands, cutting off the blood flow to the hemorrhoid. This treatment is only for internal hemorrhoids. To do this procedure, a doctor inserts a viewing instrument (anoscope) into the anus.

LIS For Fissure in ANO

LIS is considered the treatment of choice for chronic anal fissure and can be performed either opened or closed. It reduces the hypertonia of the internal anal sphincter, increases anodermal blood flow, decreases pain, and allows the fissure to heal. However, traditional LIS has been associated with relatively high rates of incontinence.

Pilonidal cyst excision is a type of surgery. It removes a cyst at the top of the crease of your rear end (buttocks). A cyst is a sac filled with fluid. The doctor makes a cut to remove the cyst and some of the tissue around it.

Fistulectomy For Fistula in Ano

A fistulotomy is the most effective treatment for many anal fistulas, although it's usually only suitable for fistulas that do not pass through much of the sphincter muscles, as the risk of incontinence is lowest in these cases. If the surgeon has to cut a small portion of anal sphincter muscle during the procedure, they'll make every attempt to reduce the risk of incontinence.

Therapeutic intervention is indicated for symptomatic patients. Symptoms usually involve recurrent episodes of anorectal sepsis. An abscess develops easily if the external opening on the perianal skin seals itself.
